Hmmm...bz with so many things.
For me, being a DBA is not so easy. When my colleague resigned last month, i have to take over all his tasks and all his current roles.Manage the all oracle 10g database in unix(HPux) environment is the most challenging part. This is because i dont have basic skills in Hpux and at the same time need to study the Single Database and Cluster(RAC) and also the replication tools-Veritas Cluster .This is totally new for me but i really take it as a challenge.
Assume me know nothing about oracle, veritas and HPux.Huh....its a critical time since the system will go live end of this month. Not even me, everyone in this project need to be a very2 fast learner.
Anyway, many2 thanks and credits to my former superior, who teach me a lot. He's not a spoon feeder.Silly questions has not been entertained. But he's a good trainer actually.Alhamdulillah, with his patient(since im not like Hilman, he did mentioned..Hilman ajar sekali je terus dapat...ade org tu ajar byk2 kali pun tak dpt2...huhuhu) i managed to handle all the db servers but untill now Im still in learning process and will try my very best to improve my skills.
'my best friend'(indian developer) also helps me a lot. They told me to bodek2 thay guy so that he can help me easily.
I still remember, the Indian dba who did the fine tuning for our db refused to do his work when my superior ask him to liase with me.He said..."She knows nothing". That was my 1st week I involved in this project...huuhuhu.....so sad but that is not the point for me to give up.
Caiyukk...caiyukkkk ida.
